Louise - Senior CV Writer

Louise has been with JIG since 2016 and loves writing the more unusual CV's for clients. Her work background is a mix of IT, Admin/Research and Science and she has completed two degrees and a Masters. Volunteering in the community is important to her and she was involved in the set up and running of a new school library that was subsequently opened by the President of Ireland and is a director of her local community centre. Books are a big passion, she loves all genres including crime, sci-fi and autobiographies. Loves cooking and working out new recipes and grows her own fruit and vegetables (but only during summer when the weather is more bearable!). A huge animal lover, she has rescued two dogs and previously has owned many cats.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I always wanted to be a mad scientist, I recently finished a Science Masters so I may well end up one yet, I already have the 'mad' part

What fictional place would you most like to visit?

Planet Magrathea, The Restaurant at the end of the Universe or anywhere in the Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy!

If you could live anywhere on this planet, where would you choose to live?

Somewhere that is a little warmer, Tuscany would be amazing

I very much liked Louise’s writing and professionalism. I disliked having to approve my identity for every interaction. This could be simpler. If not through an app that usually expensive it could work better though a responsive web that keeps the user logged in.

I sent my résumé back about six times for basic wording and spelling mistakes. I’ve used this company previously and it was pretty good. this last time the writer that they assigned to my résumé wasn’t the best. In fact I paid $140 while I’m out of work And I plan on making updates to it again as it’s not exactly what I was looking for after I had mentioned to her on several occasions what I needed. I was tired of going back-and-forth and I was in a rush so I accepted it as is.

I was very sorry to learn that you were not, in fact, happy with the resume that was prepared for you. I can see that your order was placed on 1st August, without any express service, a writer was promptly assigned and an initial draft sent over on the 5th August. During the course of that very same day, Louise responded to all of your feedback very quickly, ultimately sending across five drafts. You provided feedback after draft 3 saying "This looks great" and providing just some minor amendments, after which it "looks ready to approve". A couple of minor adjustments later, the final draft was sent and we heard nothing further from you. At no point were we aware that you felt it wasn't what you were looking for, or indeed that you were in a rush. You mention here that you plan to make further updates, and we would love to help you with that so do please get in touch directly with some more specific feedback on your remaining concerns.
